What are the best moderately priced resorts in Bermuda and why? I know there are many five star resorts, but I can not offer them this year. I do not want to go and stay in one place affordable.
There are many good deals on the Internet. It depends on your flexibility. Grotto Bay has promotions, and Aunt Nea (check spelling) has beautiful rooms and is cheaper. Clearly, a full service station can cost a lot of money.
Good luck as everything is very expensive in Bermuda, including accommodation, food, car rental and gas. If you can afford a cruise that includes Bermuda as one of its ports, it will be much better, especially with a limited budget.
Try looking in the rooms and breakfast - Salt Kettle House Greenbank Guest Houses are two that I looked forward to both very reasonable - Salt Kettle House Books quickly, however. Other cottages are Erith House (which I've never seen it, but he met someone there and Sayed said he was in Nice), the Old Rectory, and Greene's Guest House.
Also, check www.bermudarentals.com - many residents rent a room or an apartment near their homes - many of them are very reasonable, some as low as $ 50/night.
Keep in mind that if you go one of these roads, you'll likliehood on the water is minimal. Greenbank has a seafront in Nice and a dock for swimming. Also, moving can be a problem, unless you rent a moped - you might have a good walk from the bus stop nearest you.
There are many guest houses around the island and they are your best bet. Depending on the time of year, you may also find real offers to www.luxurylink.com.
