Free Days Out East Midlands? Does anyone know of any free or very cheap in the mid-day on the East or Leicestershire? Or simply ideas of things we could do!
Foxton Locks. The largest lock staircase ever, or something.
It's a bit shit but I really do not see anywhere else in Leicestershire of the note.
When I was young, north west Leicestershire (years ago) our family is not very comfortable and we went with the family on numerous occasions Bradgate Park, an enormous free to enter and move freely within the area just southwest of the city of Leicester. It is famous as the home of Lady Jane Grey, who holds the unenviable record of being the shortest reigning Queen of England - just nine days - before being beheaded. Many trees were Bradgate "decapitated" the same day and many of them are still there.
You can try Snbston Discovery Park in Coalville, Tumbledown Farm, near Melton Mowbray, etc.
Yeah, I did it a few times when I was little. Yes .. a childhood that little life before coming over. what I mean is "bus" mystery it works well in Edinburgh. Just buy a ticket at the family day / and jump on the bus at random until you see some interesting things to explore. goiod fun too. I found the Cramond Island "(we're almost stuck for 10 hours, the tide has blocked the roadway. Seaton sands" and a waterfall near Cramond Island.
