What is body armor? body armor are shields that prevent projectiles from entering the body. current armor are usually called body armor. In addition, advancement in technology ammunition led to the development of different types of shields. Police personnel, army men and private security guards mainly use these bulletproof vests.
The design of body armor and equipment used in them varies. Kevlar is the material most effectively used to make shields or body armor these days. The unique feature of Kevlar, is that it is light. However, it is stronger than the hardest steel available.
The Kevlar fibers are twisted and intertwined individually covered by other materials like resin and plastic. Kevlar material is able to absorb the enormous energy.
Types of body armor:
1. Soft bulletproof vest police personnel and private security guards to use this type of vest very frequently. They are made of woven fibers and clothing soft, mix together in the net. Soft body armor to protect users against ordinary weapons and reduce the impact of the ball by dispersing its energy. These vests are unable to protect high-caliber ammunition.
2. Interceptor vests Bulletproof vests are made of Interceptor vest kevlar and other small skid plates. They weigh about 16.4 lbs. These plates are removable and can safeguard the throat, groin, front and back. These types of vests are capable of stopping bullets of 7.62 mm into the body.
3. Staff Kevlar vest: This type of physical or armor vest Kevlar filler thickness. Staff Kevlar jacket has different sections to provide better fit.
