Is there a religion or a culture that requires girls to wear long skirts? Iv'e been seeing a few girls in my school who are always dressed in long (usually denim) skirts
his daughters and even daily
Yes, quite a bit of reality. This is not especially fair "long skirts", but modest dress. Many religions have this belief are Orthodox Jews, many Mennonites and Amish, and more stringent interpretations of Christianity and Islam. I do not agree with him, personally. I believe in God, but there is nothing in the Bible that "orders" of women to wear dresses only. To me, that concept of man as a bit of repression. If a woman in certain religions can not wear pants, then a man should not be allowed to wear a sleeveless top, LOL!
The more conservative Pentecostal churches still adhere to that tradition. In fact, I was always intrigued by them ... skirts and hair ... and how women always seem to be in a big group together ...
In fact, I dressed as a strict Pentecostal for almost a year ... and then stopped because I think deep down I see nothing wrong with women wearing pants and I wanted to wear jeans again if I felt like a hypocrite ...
I think we have a resurgence of this type of practice ... is a good example and I see nothing wrong with that ... it can get in the way if you're a bit of a tomboy ...
I must admit that it is not easy to wear a skirt next day in the sun ... it was difficult for me to do ... but I think its very feminine and traditional.
Jew
My friend wears skirts all year at school and yeah reads his Bible on the bus and other things and she is Jewish. Good question because "I wondered. Well last year ... P
Amish and Mennonite I think some people have even heard the Jews.
The all-powerful sovereign of the universe just hates women who wear pants.
Pentecost
