sweaters for large breed dogs? Does anyone here give their sweaters large breed in winter? and they are without trying to remove it?
My two Danes do not mind their winter coats and booties ... I have no sweaters for them tho. I think they would find the binding sweaters as they wrap tightly around their chest.
You just try and see if your dog would be tolerated ...
If it is not. return.
I live in a climate warm enough that my dogs do not need sweaters. However, I do have a life jacket for my dog, big dogs, and they are both fine wearing it and not try to remove it.
If your dog is comfortable with a sweater, you'll have to work with him to get used to it.
awww, I love the clothes for dogs, buy him one!
It mainly depends on the breed. If a dog is for cold, you should not give him one. If a dog is or seems to shiver outside, it can be a good idea. My dog is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever and clothing, although I do not give sweaters because they are accustomed to colder water. It gives me no problems with it.
I do not and we tried once but it was just enough to snatch it. I would not recommend it! :)
My dog will be happy to tolerate the sweater or coat when it's cold or wet outside. But my idea of cold, and his idea of cold is different. Sometimes, I cuddle him, just to have her do all outside corrugated. It will start to rub all, try to get the coat.
So, in fact - if it is really cold - it appreciates. If it is too hot in the coat - it tells me to remove it.
Try it with your dog. Try it in the first house: put it on, feed him a treat, then remove it. Next time, increase day on and off. If you turn it on before taking the dog outdoors, make sure you do not leave your dog in the house warm in the sweater, for more than a few minutes - it will start to overheat, you very uncomfortable, and you ruin the whole experience sweater for him:) But honestly, the dogs enjoy the heat, especially breeds with short hair fur, belly
I favored a more (8-10 years) mixed. I think she had some Greyhound in her. It is cold
here, cold but not cold. She needed extra help to keep warm.
She loved him, she has also been adopted to a good home 3 years ago and is still doing well.
I have not tried a sweater, but I walk my dog with a harness because I do not like things that can smother animals. I also feel more control of my pet and he is not able to get out of the spotlight because dogs can with cable. My dog is a Malinois and he will remain in the beam along a leash as long as I play with him, but when I stop and put in place in the backyard, he found a way out in somehow. Your dog can not tolerate it depends on how your dog feels the jersey of their
