Can rabbits eat raffia, natural jute twine and rope of cotton and natural? If I can find them in Canada.? I want to thank everyone who helped me with my first guestion. The vertic is always on her, but she has stoped eating her fur for now. I want to block some chew toys for his cage it dose not advice, but I have no idea what is a chain of risk to consumption. Thank you all again.
I do not think the things you mentioned above are safe for rabbits. I could be wrong, I have simply never heard of these things before as acceptable for rabbits. Here are some other ideas ...
Alfalfa hay and Timothy hay for babies to adults
wicker baskets not
Straw
Untreated wood
Cardboard (paper towel rolls and TNT-perfect)
Daily (good for them to shred, but not eat)
Paper Bags
It is very important for rabbits to have lots of toys and chew to keep their minds active. The above are good ideas to make your bunny happy. For rabbit safe toys and creative ideas home, go to http://www.rabbit.org/care/index.html (under the section "Mental Health").
I suggest just giving your rabbit carrots, lettuce and hamster food to keep teeth down
any supply store pet will sell good things for rabbits to chew
carrots and apples are obvious
branches of Apple (washed if you use chemicals on your trees)
timothy
pumices
all other things (strings), you ask about are dangerous and can hurt them, causing problems in their intestines
I am in Canada .. Rabbit control and is easy to find
