Stress Coat

Stress CoatPut an extra layer of stress in my tank will help?

I did a lot of water changes to get my ammonia level lower in my tank, but I fear it is a source of stress for my fish. I think it gave them ick (which I have already discussed), but I'm always worried when I do water changes the more it will get sick again. If I get an extra coat stress that it will help?

The less chemicals you put in your aquarium, the better. Stress coat is one of the few good ones.

Even ich can be cured without medicine simply by raising the temperature to 85 degrees for three days.

Water changes are a necessary evil if you want a healthy aquarium. However, it should never change all the water at once (see below). uneaten food and fish waste decomposes into ammonia, nitrates and nitrites. All are toxic to fish to varying degrees. Ammonia is the worst. Finally, they both will kill your fish if the levels are too high. The easy and economical way to keep your water in good shape and your fish healthy is to change about 25% of aquarium water every week to 10 days. If you wait two weeks, then change of 30-35%.

Never change all the water and wash the gravel, because you will lose any nitrifying bacteria that you need to help the distribution of various products of the decomposition of waste. If you need an out clean the whole tank, the gravel trap with a special vacuum the gravel and do not change the filter when you are siphoning. A large number of good bacteria live in the filter. Wait about 10-14 days to clean the filter.

An extra coat layer viscous stress builds on the body of your fish, reduce the risk of diseases and parasites such as Ick. So, yes. It will help you.

Yes, it will help build a coating on the fish that will protect against Ick and mantle stress is also good for your water changes and be involved in a little ammonia

There are other ways to get the ammonia with chemicals instead of changing the water every time. Stress Coat will help, but also get a neutralizing ammonia. Go to your local pet store and they can help you.

The level of ammonia would have weakened immune systems. Water changes are really only stress if you make massive changes in pH or hardness. If you changed the water sources abrutly. (That's why I do not like the bottle of water than the same brand could come from a completely different source.) Or if you change the temperature quickly. Make sure you make the changes more gradually. For example, if you plan to do a water change of 50% to 30% do one morning, and 30% in the evening. Or consider a chemical agent to reduce ammonia.

Ich / ick was probably already in your tank, but when your fish were healthy immune systems were able to fight. If you have fish that can be taken to raise the temperature to 85 and add 1 teaspoon of salt per 5 gallonsto water. (Also an anti-ich Med might be in order if it is a bad case of ICH.)

PS-layer stress can help, but you must add water to your application because to be effective.

Water changes should not be given your fish ick. Not if you use fresh water anyway. The only way I know to pass ick is the introduction of new fish (or decorative items) that have been infected. You may not have noticed if the fish were newly infected when you have added.
It is good to use stress coat when doing water changes when it is important or completely destroy the tank.
But do not worry about the water changes making your fish sick as long as you make sure the temperature of fresh water is the same as the temperature of the water already in the tank.

well - if you think your fish have ick, add a little salt water to tank.it a strange request, but even freshwater fish.
