Top 40 SongsBalance of Art and opening songwriting

Art

is rarely an objective artist about what they create. The creative process is pure, organic and must be free to proceed. (At least that's what I think.) I said, "I become one with my creation, not seeking perfection, just a clear sense that when it's done is done." It makes sense to me. I love that about art.

When it's art almost, I do not care what others think, I do not do it with others in mind. I am a track or write a song, if it's just art everything that comes next is how it should be.

Everything I have done is "the bomb" when I create for myself, but not everything I create would be well received given hit / pop song formula and structure. I did not create personal works of art by the formula. Not everything I create will be appreciated musically musically.

I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 songs you will probably ever heard. I am a fan I created for and I do not like the formula. I am a fan I am writing to impress and "he" does not like the formula, either. However, all this changes when the art and business meet; formula is still the reigning king. There are real differences between art for art and art for commerce.

These 40-some odd songs in most cases do not fit into any radio format (form), because when I create for myself, I do not think the radio. Most of my personal works are a path longer than the standard enough 3:00 to 3:30 minute time limit radio executives you.

I remember the days when songs on the radio had intros. Some of my personal work have choirs and others not, others are very experimental. The fact is they are finished and mixed, and I listen and enjoy it often. They are just for me, but they do not make me money.

Companies

The company is different. Whether or not the formula still rules, and those who produce works of art under the formula tends to pull the greatest rewards. Look at any chart in Billboard magazine, for example. Hip Hop, R & B, Pop, etc. Then take some time and listen to some of the top 10. At least you identify three or four similarities between those that you listen. You may notice even more.

What you'll start to hear is the formula. For years, this formula very popular hip-hop community has been regarded as a sale, or too commercial. However, in order to make money thanks to the popularity and record sales, you'll have to make your artistic work within the formula and structure.

Note: there are exceptions to the standard formula and structure that gain attention and make money, but trying to live except you may receive the title of "starving artist."

Here are four things you can hear when you look at hit and popular songs:

Strong chorus and melody.
Hit / folk songs have a strong chorus and melody. What does this mean? The choir is part of the song that people remember most. Even if someone does not remember the name of the song (it should be in the choir) the melody sticks.

Simplicity.
Messages in the hit / pop songs are simple and clear. Most of the pop culture prefers not to analyze the message of a song, they want it dumbed down. Help them get it by doing simple things. (From time to time, I struggled with this, I mean "think, what the hell!")

Repeat.
The point of hit / popular songs (the chorus) is most often driven home by repetition, the more you listen, the easier it is to remember.

Length of the song.
Songs edited for the radio is on average three and a half minutes.

So put it all together, your best chance to write a hit rap, R & B, gospel, etc. song is adhering to the formula when writing. No matter.
