Waterproof Jackets

I am looking for a waterproof jacket, which is the length of the waist, but I do not know where to start. I prefer to go to a store to try the jacket, but looking for ideas on the first thread.

Any ideas on where I could watch and I do not want to spend a fortune on a jacket or another.

Gore-Tex jackets always work for me.
Look in the yellow pages or online for an outdoor or sporting goods store like Adventure Mountain Coop or 16 or REI.
Gore-Tex jackets are $ $ $ but they are worth. Some are lifetime warranty against defects.
I need to ride a motorcycle and the jacket to act as a windbreak and leak during the rainy season.
Many jackets can be fitted with a fleece interior so. This gives you the flexibility to put more insulation or remove it when it's hot.
Some of the brands mentioned are Sun Ice, The North Face, REI, Mountain COOP Archteryx, taiga, etc.
They must all have the Goretex label or it simply is not.
For this kind of thing, I buy name brands b / c of the quality and guarantee is there.
I am originally from Vancouver, British Columbia and almost everyone has these types of jackets b / c it rains, snow and sun alternate bw / too.
Same thing when my sister lives in Seattle. It rains a lot.
