West Point Graduates

West Point is there to educate and train cadets as officers are in the U.S. Army after graduation. The commitment is for a total of 8 years, 5 of which are on active duty and three in reserve if you choose not to continue in active service. A very few graduates can choose commissioning other services, especially when one of their parents was a career in another department.

The main options for military service are the choice of branch of service. You choose at the beginning of your last year. What are your career options in the army? A graduate of West Point, you will be asked in one of several branches of the Army. You may want a combat arms branch such as infantry, artillery, tanks, antiaircraft artillery, aviation or combat engineer. You can also choose a path combat support as a signal, military police, chemical, or military intelligence.

You can also choose one of the branches against the fight of support services such as ammunition, neighborhood, transportation, the Adjutant General or Finance. Opportunities are also available for the Medical Corps of services or the Judge Advocate General Corps later in your career in the function. You have access to positions of greater responsibility in each branch according to your abilities.

With regard to the percentage rate of West Point, there are two interesting numbers. The first is the acceptance rate of offers of admission.
