Whippet Coats

Whippet CoatsWhen whippet puppies get their adult coats?

Hello

My whippet puppy is 5 1 / 2 months. When she get her adult coat? In addition, her skin was pink, but especially to all the black spots on his skin - almost like a dalmatian. You only see them when it is wet. Does it mean that when she gets her coat adults, these come out good in black spots in its fur?
All advice welcome.

It has its "adult" mantle. Whippets do not develop a coat or a different color as they age. Very young puppies can be darker than when they are seniors, but at 5 1 / 2 months, she has the hair color and it always will be. Whippets many dark pigment on the skin, this is not going away and it will not do their spotted coat, except as you noted, it shows when it is wet.
Good luck with your Whippet, I had the race 35 years and they are the best.

I think that Whippets can not receive a coat adult (fur!). The coat color may change with maturity, but Whippets have a beautiful coat, I do not think a lot of changes in texture. I am moving soon to Whippets (my puppy is born), so even though I'm not entirely sure what time, time will tell! My Bassets have pigment in their skin colors (black spots in the mantle), which does not change, then I doubt she'll end up looking like a dalmatian lol.
