Wyndham Hotel Group appoints International Business Leaders

LONDON - (Marketwire - June 1, 2009) - Wyndham Hotel Group (NYSE: WYN), the world's largest hotel of approximately 7,000 hotels worldwide, announced today the appointments of industry leaders to hospitality Ken Greene and Michael Poynter to oversee the company's efforts outside the Americas, others illustrating the Group's commitment to its hotel portfolio in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC).

On March 31st, 2009, the Company had a combined total of nearly 500 hotels across the two regions. In the last year, Wyndham Hotel Group has opened 78 additional hotels, including 23 hotels in the EMEA region and 55 hotels in the APAC region.

Greene will serve as president and general manager for Asia-Pacific and will be based in Wyndham Hotel Group's Hong Kong office. Poynter will be senior vice president and general manager for EMEA and will be based at the company office in London.

Both functions will oversee the operations of the Wyndham Hotel Group and manage the communication, coordination and implementation of initiatives, cross-functional brand in their respective regions.

Greene previously served as group president for Wyndham Hotel Group, responsible for operations, development and commercialization of society Ramada ®, Days Inn ®, Howard Johnson ® and Travelodge ® brands. Before that, he held senior management positions, including president of the Days Inn, Howard Johnson and Travelodge brands and CFO. He joined the predecessor of the company in 1993 as director of development for Coldwell Banker franchise.

Poynter, who has over 25 years experience in hotel operations, was previously Chief Operating Officer of Elegant Hotels Group, Hotel, based in London specializing in the operations of the company's upscale and luxury Caribbean resorts . He has held various operations positions with Carlson Hotels Worldwide and former Wyndham International where he was general manager of the Wyndham Hotel Elbow Beach Bermuda and opened the first brand Wyndham hotel casino at sea in Puerto Rico.
